TOMBOLO AFRICA is a South AFRICAN business dedicated to delivering embedded essential services and connectivity to THE MILLIONS OF homes and small businesses in rural Africa left behind in the digital divide, This transforms and uplifts agriculture and town communities and includes them in the new economy while addressing climate change simultaneously.

Our model directly addresses many of the SDG goals and climate agenda, giving locals access to and management of their own broadband and off-grid services. This creates wealth and work and unlocks agri-business.

The entire service is operated on a mobile platform real-time and gives access to safe water, clean energy, uncapped wi-fi, and a host of on-line services.

Glen has been involved in the electronics industry for over 25 years. He is a qualified RF engineer. He has worked across Africa in the telecoms industry and has engaged in the industry at the highest level including licenses and regulation.

Ross is an international business developer and entrepreneur in the ICT sector. Ross was part of the start-up team at MTN in the 1990’s and was responsible for their international expansion strategy into Africa and the Middle East.
